Nathan Medley :: Voice Teacher

    Nathan is in high demand as a teacher of singing and has led students of diverse age, voice type, and genres to great success.  His students have gone on to win major competitions, attend top universities (Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University, Northwestern, Boston Conservatory...), and achieve a greater level of artistry through technical mastery.

    He made his international teaching debut at AIMS International Music School at Eastbourne College, England in 2013 and will return in 2014.  Along with Echoing Air, he has delivered master classes at the University of Florida, Stetson University, Bradley State University, the New World School, Seminole State College, and Anderson University.

    Nathan has been on the voice faculty at Marian University since 2010 and enjoys a thriving studio of voice majors, seminarians, and secondary students.  He also actively works with children’s choirs.  From 2010-2013 he was a consultant and teacher for the Boys and Girls of Christ Church Cathedral, Indianapolis.  He is currently on the advisory board for the Columbus Children’s Choir.

    In 2014 Nathan will play an integral role in helping to launch the Miami Bach Society’s educational outreach program.

     In 2008 Nathan became a Presser Scholar, receiving grant funding to study International Pedagogic Approaches to the Countertenor Voice.  He received degrees from Oberlin Conservatory in Vocal Performance and Historical Performance.
